Course Overview
The Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the field, laying the foundation for essential core skills while preparing them for subject specialisation at Level 5. This programme equips students with a broad range of sector-specific knowledge and practical skills through research, self-study, guided learning, and real-world workplace scenarios. The BTEC Level 4 HNC course is delivered over two days per week – on campus. The course offers students a broad introduction to the subject area via a mandatory core of learning, while allowing for the acquisition of skills and experience through the selection of units across a range of occupational sectors at Level 4. Pearson-set assignments are mandatory and target particular industry-specific skills.
