Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Applied Business Psychology with Foundation Year is an interdisciplinary degree that combines the study of human behaviour with core business principles. The programme gives you the opportunity to explore how psychological theories can be applied to areas such as marketing, management, human resources and consumer behaviour. On your Foundation Year, you will have the opportunity to develop academic and employability skills essential for higher education study while being introduced to key concepts in psychology and business management. The following year of study will deepen your understanding of psychology and business integration. You will also develop key employability skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and adaptability, all of which are vital for success in the fields of business and psychology. As you advance to Level 5, you will delve deeper into key concepts and principles introduced in earlier modules, such as human resource management including equality, diversity, and inclusion, the psychology of leadership and management, entrepreneurship and innovation. Students will gain insights into digital marketing strategies from a business psychology perspective. In your last year, you will use your knowledge gained to tackle advanced topics and apply strategic thinking to organisational development. These modules will equip you with a thorough understanding of how psychological principles can facilitate transformations and changes within businesses.
